Premicell
A Premicell or a fixed Cellular Terminal has two applications.
- To reduce costs for landline-to-mobile phone calls
- Provide a telephone line in remote areas or mobile units without the necessity for access to fixed lines e.g. portacabins etc.
When connected to a PBX (Private Branch Exchange) or a landline telephone, a Premicell can route incoming and outgoing calls via the mobile telephone network, providing a cost effective alternative for a few fixed-to-mobile or mobile-to-mobile telephone calls.
The Premicell holds a SIM, just like a mobile phone and is connected to your choice of tariff . The Premicell is a single device which acts like a mobile phone and can be plugged into most telephone switches.
Before a Premicell can be installed, you will need to have a spare Analogue Trunk Port available on your PBX. Make sure that this is the case to avoid later disappointments.
